Job Description

This contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with significant needs in a welcoming school environment in Toledo, Oregon. The role offers a full school year (190-day contract) with dedicated time for case management and collaborative support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of 10 students with significant learning needs.
• Collaborate with three teaching assistants to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Utilize autism support resources and Team of Specialized Assistance (TOSA) services to enhance student outcomes.
• Manage case files effectively during four designated release days.
• Maintain compliance with Oregon state educational standards and IEP mandates.

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to teach students with significant and diverse special education needs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills essential for working within a multidisciplinary team.

Location: Elementary school setting in Toledo, Oregon.
