You will safely set up and operate powder application equipment including powder guns, hoppers, and powder booths while painting various shapes and sizes of steel and aluminum components on a moving conveyor line. You will be an expert in the department required to communicate well and train new employees. The ideal candidate will also have media blast experience. Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure all parts are properly painted and work instructions are followed preciselyOperate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systemsObserve machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defectsDetermine flow and coating quality by performing visual inspectionsBake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitationsEnsure spray efficiencies are meeting KPI's based on quoted levelsEnsure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and on-time performanceEnsure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facilityEnsure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environmentEnsure proper cleaning by removing waster powder and maintenance of equipmentTrain new associates powder coating operations and techniquesSupport media blast by operating abrasive blasting equipment to remove coatings, dirt, and other contaminants from surfaces, and prepare them for further treatment or finishingPerform other duties as assignedWork EnvironmentSafety is our top priority to minimize risk.
