We are looking for a Cost Accountant II to join our Accounting department. In this role you will enjoy an amazing benefits package, work-life balance and opportunities for advancement!

Hybrid schedule : 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

• In-office: Mondays and Thursdays
• Remote: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Note: The first two months of employment are required to be in-office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains a system for the accurate collection and analysis of cost related financial data.
• Performs detailed reconciliations of COGS to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Applies overhead costs by product.
• Prepares monthly warranty cost reports for management to review.
• Assists in the annual physical inventory count and processes the necessary journal entries to adjust inventory records.
• Performs account reconciliations and creates period journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitors and corrects inventory cost variances.
• Manages the reporting system for company manufacturing supplies expenses for production management.
• Actively uses company problem solving (PDCA) to correct errors in work outputs.
• Serves as guide and back up to Staff Accountant, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable as necessary.
• Works with the entire accounting group to ensure accounting policies and procedures are accurate and adhered to.
• Miscellaneous tasks and projects as needed by the accounting department as directed by management.
• This is a hybrid role, allowing for both in-office and remote work arrangements.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis in Accounting or Business preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
• Ability to conduct internet research and accurately enter data.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
