Job Description The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for developing, coordinating, staffing, and implementing an enterprise-wide compliance program appropriate to the size and complexity of the organization. The CCO must have extensive knowledge of banking, trust, and securities regulations. They will develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for Northwest and its subsidiaries. The CCO will collaborate across departments to establish and maintain a Compliance RCSA program and will report regularly to senior management and the Board of Directors. Essential Functions Understand key regulations including but not limited to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, CRA, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, and others related to consumer, commercial, and operational laws. Develop and implement enterprise-wide fair banking initiatives and compliance management systems. Ensure compliance is integrated into strategic initiatives; develop annual compliance plans and policies. Oversee the CRA program and develop systems for monitoring consumer complaint compliance. Communicate regulatory changes and maintain relationships with regulatory and community organizations. Manage compliance documentation and training programs, utilizing technology for efficiency. Coordinate with external auditors and regulators, and address compliance issues proactively. Advise senior leadership and the Board on legal and regulatory changes affecting compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in compliance or business; Juris Doctor preferred. 8-12 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years in customer service and legal roles. Leadership skills, decision-making ability, and excellent communication skills. Licenses: CRCM and Attorney at Law (Ohio) upon hire.
